Cimarron Firearms 1866 Yellowboy Features The Cimarron 1866 Yellowboy is built around a lever action design faithful to the original Winchester pattern with a smooth lever throw that cycles the tubular magazine reliably round after round. The 24 inch octagon barrel is blued for corrosion resistance and gives the rifle the traditional profile and balance that defined the original 1866 pattern rifles. A 1:20 inch twist rate is matched to stabilize the .44 Special cartridge for consistent accuracy at typical cowboy action and hunting ranges. The 12 round magazine capacity gives shooters ample rounds on tap for extended strings of fire during competition or range sessions. The brasslite receiver is the signature feature that earned the Yellowboy its name offering a warm golden contrast against the blued barrel and providing genuine resistance to tarnishing over time. A well figured walnut stock rounds out the rifle s classic aesthetic while providing a comfortable traditional cheek weld and grip. At 45.5 inches overall and roughly 8.2 pounds the rifle balances nicely for offhand shooting in cowboy action stages or field carry. For shooters and collectors who want an Old West lever gun built with genuine attention to historical detail the 1866 Yellowboy delivers authentic style backed by dependable modern manufacturing.
