Cimarron Firearms 1876 Texas Ranger Features The Cimarron Firearms 1876 Texas Ranger is built on the 1876 pattern lever action platform chambered in the hard hitting .50-95 cartridge for serious stopping power in a historically faithful rifle. The 20 inch octagon barrel carries a 1:48 twist rate suited to the cartridge s heavier bullets and the standard blue metal finish gives the rifle its traditional frontier appearance. A saddle ring on the frame nods to the way these rifles were actually carried on horseback by riders who needed a long gun close at hand. The 5 round magazine capacity keeps the rifle balanced and fast to top off between shots at the range or in cowboy action competition. A Henry style ladder rear sight sits atop the barrel offering the adjustable elevation that long range shooters of the era relied on for accurate hits past typical pistol caliber distances. The walnut stock and forearm bring genuine wood grain and traditional styling that modern synthetic stocks cannot match finished to complement the blued steel throughout. Engraved Texas Rangers lettering on the side plate adds a distinctive touch for collectors who want a rifle that tells a story as well as it shoots.
