Cimarron Firearms 1866 Yellowboy Features The Cimarron 1866 Yellowboy is a lever-action rifle chambered in .44 Special faithfully reproducing one of the most iconic rifles of the American West. Its brass receiver gives the rifle its namesake Yellowboy appearance paired with a blued 19-inch barrel carrying a 1:20 twist rate for reliable accuracy at traditional lever-gun ranges. A traditional saddle ring hangs from the receiver staying true to the rifle s historical design and allowing period-correct carry on horseback. The smooth lever action cycles quickly making it a popular choice for cowboy action shooting competitions where fast consistent follow-up shots matter. The brass and blued combination is instantly recognizable tying the rifle directly to the original Yellowboy s reputation on the frontier. A walnut stock completes the rifle s classic look offering a warm traditional aesthetic that complements the brass receiver and blued barrel. At an overall length of 37.87 inches and a weight of 7.8 pounds the Yellowboy handles comfortably for extended shooting sessions at the range or in competition. The 10-round tubular magazine provides ample capacity for stages or range sessions without frequent reloading keeping the shooter in the action longer between reloads. The combination of brass furniture a blued barrel and a smooth walnut stock makes this rifle as much a display piece as a shooter equally suited to a gun safe showcase or a cowboy action stage. For collectors reenactors and cowboy action shooters alike the Cimarron 1866 Yellowboy delivers an authentic well-built reproduction of a true piece of American firearms history.
