Cimarron Firearms 1873 Short Rifle Features The Cimarron 1873 Short Rifle is chambered in .32-20 Win and built on the classic 1873 lever action platform a design that has remained popular for over a century for its smooth cycling and reliable feeding. The 20 octagon barrel carries a 1:10 twist rate matched to stabilize .32-20 bullet weights for consistent downrange accuracy. A 10-round tubular magazine capacity lets shooters run multiple follow-up shots quickly which suits cowboy action competition stages as well as range plinking. The lever action operation itself is simple and robust making the rifle approachable for new lever gun shooters while still rewarding experienced hands. Finished with a case colored and hardened receiver the 1873 Short Rifle carries the vivid mottled coloring traditionally associated with period-correct Old West firearms. The barrel is finished in a deep blue that contrasts with the case hardened frame for a classic two-tone look. A walnut stock rounds out the rifle s traditional appearance while providing a comfortable authentic feel in hand. At 39 overall and 7.9 lbs the Cimarron 1873 Short Rifle is well balanced for offhand shooting and makes a fitting addition to any cowboy action or collector s lineup.
