Cimarron Firearms 1866 Yellowboy Features The Cimarron 1866 Yellowboy is a lever action rifle chambered in .38-40 Win faithfully reproducing the brass receiver that earned the original Winchester 1866 its nickname. The 19 inch barrel carries a 1 in 36 inch twist rate suited to the .38-40 cartridge and the blued finish on the barrel contrasts with the brass frame for the classic two-tone look collectors and shooters expect. A tubular magazine holds 10 rounds giving shooters ample capacity for cowboy action stages or range sessions without frequent reloading. Walnut stock furniture completes the traditional appearance while providing a solid comfortable grip during rapid lever cycling. A saddle ring is mounted on the receiver staying true to the historical design and offering a practical point for a carrying strap in the field or at the range. At 7.5 pounds and 37.87 inches overall the rifle is light and well balanced for fast target transitions a key advantage in cowboy action shooting competition. The lever action design allows quick follow-up shots while keeping the rifle s profile slim and manageable. For shooters drawn to Old West history and the smooth operation of a well-built lever gun the Cimarron 1866 Yellowboy offers an authentic shooting experience.
