Cimarron Firearms 1873 Long Range Features The Cimarron 1873 Long Range is built around the classic 1873 lever action platform extended here with a 30 inch octagon barrel designed for the long range cowboy action and silhouette shooting disciplines. Chambered in .45 Colt the rifle carries a 1:16 inch twist rate that stabilizes typical .45 Colt bullet weights for reliable accuracy at extended ranges. The 14-round capacity allows competitors to run longer strings of fire before needing to reload an advantage in long range or extended course of fire matches. At 9.15 pounds and 48 inches overall the rifle s heft helps steady aim for precision shooting at distance. The receiver is finished in a traditional case colored hardened treatment giving it the vivid mottled coloring collectors and Western shooting enthusiasts associate with period-correct firearms. A blued barrel finish complements the case coloring for a classic two-tone look true to the original 1873 rifles. The walnut stock rounds out the traditional aesthetic while providing a comfortable classic cheek weld and shoulder fit. For shooters competing in long range cowboy action matches or simply collecting a faithfully styled 1873 the Cimarron 1873 Long Range delivers historical accuracy paired with genuine shooting performance.
