Cimarron Firearms 1873 Texas Brush Popper Features The Cimarron 1873 Texas Brush Popper is built on the proven 1873 lever action platform and chambered in .45 Colt a pairing that has defined Cowboy Action Shooting for decades. The octagon to round barrel configuration blends classic styling with a lighter overall profile trimming weight without giving up the rigidity a lever gun needs for consistent cycling. A single rifled barrel section keeps velocities consistent while the external hammer firing system lets shooters thumb back the action quickly between shots. The checkered walnut pistol grip stock gives a secure comfortable hold that steadies the rifle through fast strings of fire on the clock. Finished in a standard blue over a case hardened steel frame the rifle combines a durable working finish with the traditional color case look collectors and competitors both favor. The blade front sight and adjustable buckhorn rear sight work together for a clear repeatable sight picture while a blued buttplate finishes off the stock for a cohesive overall look. At roughly 7.2 to 7.4 lbs depending on configuration the rifle stays light enough for shooters of varying strength and experience without feeling flimsy in hand. Built by Uberti to Cimarron s specification the 1873 Texas Brush Popper was developed directly from requests by top Cowboy Action Shooters chasing the ultimate competition lever gun making it a strong addition to any serious shooter s rack.
