Cimarron Firearms 1866 Yellowboy Trapper Features The Cimarron Firearms 1866 Yellowboy Trapper pays tribute to one of the most iconic lever action rifles in American history chambered here in the versatile .38 Special cartridge. Its brass frame provides authentic period correct styling alongside a standard blue finish on the 16 inch barrel creating a classic two tone appearance favored by collectors and shooters alike. A 1:18.5 twist rate stabilizes .38 Special bullets for reliable accuracy at typical lever action engagement ranges. The shorter trapper length barrel makes this rifle quick to handle and easy to maneuver whether on a working ranch or the cowboy action stage. A genuine walnut stock and forearm bring warmth and traditional styling that faithfully echoes the original 1866 design this reproduction is based on. At just over 7 pounds the rifle balances well for repeated offhand shooting during cowboy action matches or casual range sessions. The 10 round tubular magazine capacity gives shooters ample rounds on tap before needing to reload a useful trait in timed competition formats. Built for both function and authenticity the Yellowboy Trapper is a fitting choice for collectors and active shooters who appreciate genuine Old West lever gun heritage.
