Proof Research Pre-Fit PXT Barrel Features The Proof Research Pre-Fit PXT Barrel is machined to drop directly onto the Tikka T3X action removing the need for a gunsmith to fit a custom barrel to the rifle. Chambered in 6mm Creedmoor the 22 inch stainless steel barrel carries a 1 in 7.5 twist rate suited to the heavier for caliber bullets that define the cartridge s long-range performance. Stainless steel construction resists corrosion while holding the thermal stability needed to maintain zero through extended strings of fire at the range or in competition. A 5/8x24 threaded muzzle gives the shooter the flexibility to run a brake compensator or suppressor on the rifle. At 2 pounds 10 ounces the barrel keeps the completed rifle balanced and manageable despite the precision stainless construction underneath. Because it is purpose-built as a pre-fit installation is far simpler than a standard barrel swap letting shooters comfortable with basic tools complete the upgrade themselves. Proof Research s reputation for tight chamber tolerances and precise rifling carries directly into this barrel giving Tikka T3X owners a path to tack-driving accuracy without purchasing an entirely new rifle. It is a practical option for hunters and long-range competitors looking to extract more performance from an existing action.
