Proof Research Pre-Fit Q Fix Barrel Features The Proof Research Pre-Fit Q Fix Barrel is built in .22 Creedmoor a cartridge gaining popularity among long-range and precision shooters for its flat trajectory and reduced recoil. Its 1-in-8 twist rate is tuned to stabilize the heavier longer projectiles typically used in .22 Creedmoor loads improving accuracy at extended distances. The 22 length balances velocity gain with a manageable overall rifle length for field or competition use. Finished in stainless steel the barrel offers excellent corrosion resistance and a classic precision rifle look. As part of the Pre-Fit Series this barrel is designed for quick installation on compatible actions without the need for extensive gunsmithing saving time and cost for shooters upgrading their rig. A 5/8x24 thread pattern accepts a wide range of muzzle brakes and suppressors giving shooters flexibility in how they manage recoil and sound. At 2 lbs 11 oz the barrel adds meaningful weight forward for stability without becoming unwieldy. The Proof Research Pre-Fit Q Fix Barrel is a strong choice for shooters looking to build or upgrade a dedicated .22 Creedmoor precision rifle.
