Proof Research Sendero Carbon Fiber PXT Barrel Blank Features The Proof Research Sendero Carbon Fiber PXT Barrel Blank is built around PXT PROOF s Exponential Twist rifling technology a rethinking of conventional twist progression designed to smooth the transition as a projectile engages the rifling. Reducing the rifling lead angle in this way cuts engraving force and throat erosion which in controlled testing has translated into a 30 to 100 percent increase in barrel life over conventional rifling while holding PROOF s accuracy standard. The lower felt torque during firing also improves recoil control letting a shooter stay on target more consistently across a long string of fire. Chambered in .284 Caliber with a 1:8 twist this blank is cut in PROOF s popular Sendero contour with a 2.5 breech and 1.20 shank diameter. Built around PROOF s proven carbon fiber construction this blank delivers an exceptional stiffness-to-weight ratio that trims overall rifle weight without sacrificing the barrel rigidity precision shooting demands. As an unchambered blank it gives a custom rifle builder or gunsmith full control over chambering headspace and final barrel length for the specific action and cartridge they are building around. It is a premium foundation suited to lightweight hunting rifles and long-range precision builds where consistency and reduced weight both matter. For a builder looking to pair modern carbon fiber technology with PROOF s next-generation PXT rifling this Sendero contour blank is a strong starting point.
