Proof Research Pre-Fit PXT Barrel Features The Proof Research Pre-Fit PXT barrel drops directly into a Tikka T3X action without the need for custom chambering or fitting making a carbon fiber upgrade accessible to owners who want better accuracy without a full gunsmith build. Chambered in 7mm PRC the 20 Sendero contour barrel uses a 1:8 twist to stabilize the long heavy bullets that make the cartridge effective at distance. Five-groove rifling is cut into the stainless steel liner before Proof wraps it in carbon fiber combining accuracy-focused rifling geometry with reduced weight. The 5/8x24 threaded muzzle comes ready for a suppressor or muzzle device right out of the box. At 2 lbs 10 oz the barrel is dramatically lighter than a comparable steel barrel of the same contour shifting the rifle s balance back toward the shooter and making it easier to carry and hold steady over long hunts or range sessions. The stainless steel finish matches the look of a factory Tikka barrel while giving the shooter a meaningful accuracy upgrade. Because it is a true pre-fit installation is straightforward for anyone comfortable with basic action work. For a Tikka T3X owner chasing more consistent groups in 7mm PRC the Proof Research Pre-Fit PXT barrel is available for sale at GrabAGun.
