Proof Research Pre-Fit PXT Barrel Features The Proof Research Pre-Fit PXT Barrel is machined and chambered specifically to drop into a Tikka T3X action letting the shooter swap barrels without the cost and wait of a custom gunsmith fitting. Chambered in .25 Creedmoor with a 1:7.5 twist the shorter 18 length keeps the completed rifle handy while still delivering the velocity this cartridge is built around. PROOF PXT technology is built into the barrel s construction a proprietary process that improves rigidity and heat dissipation over a traditional steel barrel of similar weight. The stainless steel finish resists corrosion across seasons of range and field use. A 5/8x24 threaded muzzle comes ready to accept a muzzle brake or suppressor giving the shooter control over recoil and sound signature to match the intended use. At roughly 2 lbs 10 oz the barrel keeps the completed rifle s balance manageable a meaningful improvement for hunters who carry their rifle over long distances. Because it is engineered as a pre-fit for the Tikka T3X platform specifically installation is straightforward compared to a barrel requiring custom chambering and headspacing. For shooters looking to extract more accuracy from a proven action the Proof Research Pre-Fit PXT Barrel is a complete upgrade for sale at GrabAGun.
