Great Lakes Firearms and Ammunition GL-15 Stripped Lower Features The Great Lakes Firearms GL-15 Stripped Lower Receiver is machined from aluminum billet giving builders a strong precisely cut foundation for an AR-15 style rifle. Its multi-caliber rating means the receiver is compatible with a range of AR-15 pattern chamberings giving builders flexibility in choosing an upper to pair with it. The black matte finish provides a durable corrosion-resistant surface that matches typical AR-15 furniture and coatings. Shipping as a stripped receiver it leaves the builder free to select their preferred trigger safety selector and other internal components so the finished rifle reflects their own specifications rather than a predetermined configuration. Because it carries no internal parts installed the GL-15 is suited for builders who already have a parts kit or want to hand select every component for their rifle. This stripped format also keeps the receiver s price accessible compared to a complete lower letting builders allocate more budget toward the upper or furniture. The billet construction offers a clean uniform finish that many builders prefer over forged receivers for its tighter tolerances since billet machining removes material from a single block rather than relying on a forging die. As the serialized core of the build this receiver is the one part that defines the rifle s legal identity making the choice of a solid well-made billet foundation like the GL-15 an important first step. The Great Lakes Firearms GL-15 Stripped Lower Receiver is a solid starting point for sale at GrabAGun for any custom AR-15 build whether the goal is a lightweight carbine a precision rifle or a purpose-built multi-caliber platform.
