Great Lakes Firearms & Ammo 1911 Mission Series Sahara Features The Great Lakes Firearms & Ammo 1911 Mission Series Sahara pairs a 5-inch government-length barrel with a hexagonal-cut ported slide that vents propellant gas to help control muzzle flip during rapid strings of fire. The RMSc optics cut lets shooters add a compact red dot directly to the slide without any aftermarket milling bringing this classic platform into modern optics-ready territory. High-visibility target iron sights serve as a fast reliable co-witness reference whether or not an optic is mounted. An integrated Picatinny rail on the dust cover expands the pistol s usefulness with weapon lights or lasers for low-light situations. An extended ambidextrous thumb safety makes the Mission Series Sahara comfortable and fast to operate for both right- and left-handed shooters a detail that matters for anyone training to run the gun with either hand. The Sahara ships with an 8-round magazine capacity staying true to the single-stack heritage of the 1911 platform while keeping the grip slim for concealment or duty carry. Chambered in the enduring .45 ACP cartridge the pistol delivers the classic recoil impulse and stopping power the 1911 design has been known for over a century. Built with a 5-inch barrel for accuracy and control the Great Lakes 1911 Mission Series Sahara offers a feature-rich optics-ready 1911 for sale at GrabAGun.
