Great Lakes Firearms and Ammunition Sub-1 Features The Great Lakes Firearms Sub-1 is built around a double stress relieved button rifled 416R stainless steel barrel that is fluted to reduce weight while maintaining rigidity for consistent accuracy. Chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor the 20 barrel is threaded 5/8x24 to accept a muzzle brake or suppressor giving shooters flexibility for recoil management or sound reduction. A jeweled bolt cycling on a stainless Remington 700 pattern action provides smooth reliable operation shot after shot. An adjustable trigger and manual safety round out a system built for repeatable precision. The Lichen Green long strand carbon fiber stock keeps overall weight down to 8.25 lbs while providing a stable vibration dampening platform for the action and barrel. A built in Arca rail on the forend allows direct mounting of bipods and other accessories without needing an additional rail adapter. The rifle accepts AICS pattern detachable magazines including the included 5 round magazine for fast reloads in the field or at the range.
