Great Lakes Firearms and Ammunition North Woods Features The Great Lakes Firearms North Woods is chambered in .400 Legend a straight wall cartridge designed to deliver serious knockdown power at moderate ranges where many hunting regulations require a straight wall case. A 5-round magazine gives hunters enough capacity for a follow up shot without adding unnecessary bulk to the action. Built around a bolt action design the North Woods trades complexity for reliability cycling smoothly shot after shot in the field. The North Woods name reflects the rifle s intended home dense hunting country where fast handling and dependable function matter more than long range reach. Great Lakes Firearms builds the North Woods to be a no-nonsense hunting tool ready to be mounted with optics and taken into the field without fuss. The straight wall .400 Legend chambering pairs well with the 16 barrel to keep the rifle compact for stand and blind hunting alike.
