Great Lakes Firearms and Ammunition GL700 Features The Great Lakes Firearms GL700 is chambered in .308 Win and built around an 18 stainless steel barrel offering a balance of accuracy and reduced weight for hunters who carry their rifle over long distances. The stainless steel construction resists rust and corrosion far better than a standard blued barrel so the rifle holds up to rain humidity and rough field conditions season after season. The bolt-action design provides the mechanical simplicity and reliability shooters expect from a hunting rifle with fewer moving parts to maintain and fewer things that can go wrong in the field. An aluminum receiver houses a Picatinny rail giving shooters a mounting surface for a wide range of scopes without needing separate bases or gunsmithing. A manual safety lets the shooter control the rifle s readiness state with confidence in the field engaging and disengaging cleanly when it matters most. The fixed Lichen Black synthetic stock resists the weather and rough handling that come with hunting trips holding its shape and finish across seasons of use where a wood stock might warp or crack. Feeding from a 5-round magazine the GL700 offers enough capacity for most hunting scenarios without adding unnecessary bulk or weight to the rifle. The rifle s straightforward design keeps maintenance simple letting shooters spend their time in the field rather than on upkeep and the combination of a durable stainless barrel aluminum receiver and synthetic stock makes the Great Lakes Firearms GL700 in .308 Win a dependable option for hunters wanting a rugged accurate bolt gun without a premium price tag.
