Great Lakes Firearms and Ammunition SUB-1 Features The Great Lakes Firearms SUB-1 pairs a Remington 700 pattern stainless action with a 20 416R stainless fluted barrel that is double stress relieved and button rifled for consistent accurate performance. The barrel s 5/8x24 threading accepts the included muzzle brake helping tame recoil during extended range sessions in 6.5 Creedmoor. A jeweled bolt rides smoothly through the action and the user adjustable trigger lets shooters set the pull to their preference for a clean predictable break. The AICS short action pattern magazine fed from an Amend2 detachable 5-round mag allows quick reloads between strings of fire. The long strand carbon fiber stock in Lichen Grey is both lightweight and rigid with a built-in Arca rail molded directly into the forend for mounting a bipod or tripod head without added hardware. A manual safety gives the shooter positive control over the rifle s readiness and the Cerakote finished metal resists wear from field and range use alike. A Picatinny rail on the receiver makes mounting a precision optic straightforward for long-range work. Assembled in the USA the SUB-1 is built for shooters chasing sub-MOA accuracy out of a factory precision rifle package.
