Great Lakes Firearms and Ammunition 1911 Features The Great Lakes Firearms 1911 is chambered in 9mm giving shooters the classic single action feel of the 1911 platform paired with a common and affordable defensive caliber. The 5 barrel provides a longer sight radius than compact pistols which helps shooters achieve better accuracy at the range and in competition. Finished in a striking Black Cherry color this 1911 offers a distinctive look that sets it apart from the typical black or stainless finishes seen on most 1911 pattern pistols. The single action trigger of the 1911 platform is prized for its crisp break making the pistol a favorite among shooters who value precision. Feeding from an 8-round magazine the Great Lakes Firearms 1911 keeps the traditional single stack capacity that 1911 shooters expect. Great Lakes Firearms builds this pistol on the time-tested 1911 pattern a design that has remained popular with shooters for over a century. The 5 barrel length matches the full size 1911 profile giving the pistol a balanced feel in the hand.
