Shield Sights SMS2 Features The Shield Sights SMS2 Glass Edition carries forward twenty years of Mini Red Dot design built from durable glass filled nylon with the choice of a hard dipped acrylic lens or an enhanced scratch resistant glass lens. Its 8 MOA red dot is bright and fast to pick up under stress while the low profile housing sits close to the bore line so the sight aligns naturally with how a trained shooter presents a pistol. The RMSc footprint fits directly to compatible slide cuts and a rear notch in the frame allows co witnessing with standard iron sights for a built in backup aiming reference. At just 1.6 inches long 0.89 inches tall and 1 inch wide the SMS2 adds virtually no bulk to a carry pistol. Shield built the SMS2 around the philosophy of giving the shooter one clear point of focus with no oversized housing no dimmed lens and no distracting controls competing for attention. A CR2032 battery delivers up to 20 000 hours of runtime meaning the sight can be mounted and largely forgotten about between battery changes. Weighing a mere 0.4 ounces in a matte black finish the SMS2 Glass Edition keeps a carry gun s balance and profile essentially unchanged. This Shield Sights SMS2 Glass Edition is available for sale at GrabAGun for concealed carry and duty shooters who want a proven minimalist reflex sight.
