Shield Sights OMSx Features The Shield Sights OMSx mounts to Shield s established RMSc footprint giving it a wide range of slide and adapter plate compatibility for pistols already cut for that pattern. The octagon-shaped crystal-clear lens carries no filters to distort the view of the world through the sight and the enlarged viewing window over Shield s Mini-Sight line makes picking up the dot during fast transitions noticeably easier. Auto brightness adjustment reads the ambient light and sets the dot intensity automatically so the sight stays usable from a dim indoor bay to bright daylight without the shooter touching a button. The housing is machined from aerospace-grade aluminum to tight tolerances giving the OMSx a rigid duty-ready structure. At roughly 1 ounce and measuring 1.61 inches long by 1.34 inches wide by 1.07 inches tall the OMSx adds almost no bulk or weight to a carry or competition pistol. A single CR2032 battery powers the sight for up to 20 000 hours of average daylight use meaning most owners will rarely think about a battery change. The transparent acrylic hood protects the lens while preserving sight picture and the sight is built around Shield s patented co-witness mechanism that allows use alongside standard iron sights to shorten training time. Finished in a durable black anodized coating the Shield Sights OMSx is a compact high-visibility optic suited to competition carry and duty use.
