Shield Sights SMS Features The Shield Sights SMS uses the company s patented mounting mechanism to co-witness cleanly with standard iron sights which shortens training time and keeps zero consistent across platforms. Because the sight uses no click adjustment system zeroing becomes a matter of fine mechanical precision rather than counting detents giving a more accurate final zero than many click-based micro red dots. The 8 MOA dot size is large enough for fast target acquisition up close while remaining precise enough for deliberate shots at distance a balance that has made the SMS popular with both duty users and competitive shooters. Automatic brightness adjustment keeps the dot visible across changing light conditions without the shooter ever touching a control. Weighing only 0.38 ounces and built from reinforced glass filled nylon polymer the SMS adds virtually no weight or bulk to a pistol slide or long gun receiver. The D-shaped hard dipped acrylic lens carries a hard anti-reflective color free coating that keeps the sight picture clear and free of glare in bright daylight. Up to 20 000 hours of battery life from a single CR2032 means the sight can be left powered on indefinitely without concern for a dead battery at the moment it matters most. With over 100 000 units fielded by British American Australian and New Zealand special forces the Shield Sights SMS is available for sale at GrabAGun as a combat-proven optic for serious use.
