Faxon Firearms AR-15 Barrel Features The Faxon Firearms AR-15 Barrel starts with certified 4150 CMV steel button rifled with a 1:8 twist rate suited to a wide range of 5.56 NATO bullet weights. Every barrel is fully stress relieved before being air gauge tested a process that checks bore consistency along the entire barrel length for the tightest possible tolerances. Manufactured and finished entirely in-house the barrel is Magnetic Particle Inspected and individually checked for headspace using precision custom hardened gauges giving builders a part that meets the same standard Faxon applies across its whole barrel line. An 11 degree target crown protects the critical final inches of rifling and helps ensure consistent bullet exit for improved accuracy a detail that matters even more on a short pistol length barrel where velocity and stability are already compressed. Finished in Nitride both inside and out the barrel resists corrosion and wear while standing up to the heat generated in a short pistol length gas system. The Government/SOCOM profile and .750 inch gas block diameter are common widely supported dimensions simplifying parts compatibility for builders sourcing gas blocks handguards and other components. A 1/2x28 threaded muzzle accepts a wide range of compensators flash hiders and suppressor adapters giving builders flexibility to tune recoil and sound signature on a compact platform. At just .89 pounds this 7.5 inch Faxon barrel is a lightweight accurate foundation for a compact 5.56 AR pistol build suited to builders who want a short maneuverable gun without sacrificing the manufacturing standards found on Faxon s full size rifle barrels.
