Faxon Firearms Match Series Target Barrel Features The Faxon Firearms Match Series barrel uses a 5R button rifled bore a hybrid rifling geometry where the lands sit opposite the grooves rather than directly across from one another reducing bullet jacket deformation and improving velocity retention compared to conventional rifling. Cut from 416-R stainless steel the barrel is honed and lapped for a smooth consistent bore finish that promotes accuracy and eases cleaning after range sessions. A 1 in 7.5 twist rate is matched to the heavier bullet weights that 6mm ARC shooters favor for long range precision work. The 20 inch target profile adds the mass and stiffness needed to resist barrel whip and heat induced stringing during extended strings of fire. Every Match Series barrel is magnetic particle inspected to catch subsurface flaws before it reaches a rifle a quality control step that reflects Faxon s commitment to match grade reliability. The bead blast exterior finish gives the barrel a clean understated look while the 11 degree recessed target crown protects the muzzle from dings and dents that can otherwise ruin accuracy. A nickel Teflon coated M4 barrel extension improves dry lubricity and corrosion resistance while also tightening the fit between the extension and the upper receiver. With a 5/8x24 threaded muzzle and a rifle length gas system this barrel is built for serious 6mm ARC shooters looking to extract genuine precision from their AR platform build.
