Faxon Firearms Duty Series Gunner Barrel Features The Faxon Firearms Duty Series Gunner Barrel is manufactured entirely in-house from 4150 CMV steel using a button rifled process then stress relieved and air-gauge tested to hold tight tolerances along the full 20 length. Every barrel receives an 11 degree target crown to protect accuracy at the muzzle and each one is individually checked for headspace with precision hardened gauges before it ships. The Gunner contour keeps a Government-profile diameter from the extension back to the .625 gas block then tapers to a Pencil profile forward of the block. That design pulls weight and balance back toward the receiver which reduces fatigue during extended shooting training or hunting sessions without sacrificing the rigidity needed near the chamber. A rifle-length gas system pairs with the full 20 barrel to maximize 5.56 NATO velocity and deliver a softer more consistent recoil impulse which matters for precision shooting and suppressed use alike. The 1:8 twist stabilizes a wide range of bullet weights giving this barrel the versatility to run anything from lighter varmint loads to heavier match projectiles. QPQ Black Nitride finishing protects the bore and exterior from corrosion and wear while standing up to sustained firing schedules. With a 1/2x28 threaded muzzle ready for a brake or suppressor and an M4 feed ramp extension for reliable AR-15 compatibility this barrel is built for shooters assembling a DMR or competition upper.
