EGW Guns Scope Base Features The EGW Guns Scope Base is machined from ultra-rigid extruded 6061-T6 aluminum with full-width Picatinny cross-slots gauged to MIL-STD 1913 specifications within 0.002 inches. This precision gives the shooter flexibility to change eye relief and choose from a wide range of Picatinny or Weaver scope rings. The base is drilled specifically to match the factory scope mount holes on the Browning BLR short action receiver so no drilling or tapping of the rifle is needed. Its 0 MOA elevation keeps the mounting plane flat suited to standard hunting distances rather than long-range dialing. A matte black finish on the aluminum body resists glare in the field while blending with the rifle s factory finish. The base measures 5.488 inches overall with a 2.8 inch center spread keeping the footprint compact on the BLR s receiver. It ships with hex head screws and a wrench for installation and EGW recommends 20 inch-pounds of torque along with a drop of blue thread locker to keep the mount secure under recoil. Made entirely in the USA this EGW base gives Browning BLR owners a dependable no-gunsmithing path to a one-piece Picatinny optic mount.
