EGW Guns Scope Base Features The EGW Guns Scope Base is precision machined from extruded 6061-T6 aluminum giving it the rigidity needed to hold zero under recoil while keeping the overall weight low. Its Picatinny slot and rail spacing is gauged to MIL-STD 1913 specs within plus or minus .002 inches which means rings seat consistently and scope position can be moved fore or aft without binding. A 3.245 inch center spread and 7.458 inch overall length are matched to the Tikka T3 receiver s factory mounting holes so the base drops on without any drilling or tapping. The 0 MOA configuration keeps the sight line parallel to the bore for shooters who do not need extended elevation travel. Installation hardware including hex head screws and a wrench ships with the base and EGW recommends torquing to 20 inch pounds with a drip of blue Loctite to keep the fasteners from backing out under recoil. The matte black finish matches factory Tikka finishes and resists glare in the field. Because the base accepts both Picatinny and Weaver scope rings it gives the shooter flexibility in ring choice rather than locking them into one proprietary mount. For a Tikka T3 or T3 Lite owner who wants a durable American made rail without touching the stock receiver this EGW Guns Scope Base is a direct no-gunsmithing upgrade.
