Full width cross slots are gauged to MIL-STD 1913 specs to within plus or minus .002 inches so the base accepts a wide range of Picatinny and Weaver scope rings without fitment surprises. Twenty MOA of built in elevation preloads the mount for long range shooting leaving more of the scope s own internal adjustment available when dialing for distance. Drilled to match the factory scope mount holes on the receiver installation requires no drilling or tapping of the action itself.
