EGW Guns Scope Base Features The EGW Guns Scope Base is a one piece Picatinny style mount built specifically for the Howa Mini Action giving the rifle a single rigid mounting surface instead of separate ring bases. The beveled design on both sides makes the base genuinely ambidextrous so it installs the same way regardless of which hand the shooter favors. Picatinny cross slots run the full length of the rail giving the shooter flexibility when positioning scope rings or mounting other accessories like a bubble level. The base is also compatible with quick disconnect scope rings letting a shooter remove and reinstall an optic while returning close to zero. EGW machines this base from solid 7075 T6 aircraft grade aluminum in their own shop then tumbles sandblasts and Type III anodizes it for long lasting durability in the field. At 0 MOA the base is recommended for shooting out to 500 yards which covers the vast majority of hunting and varmint shooting distances on a Howa Mini Action rifle. Weighing just 2.5 ounces and measuring 5.882 inches overall it adds minimal bulk to a lightweight rifle build. EGW includes number 6-48 by 1/4 inch screws and a T-10 bit recommending 20 inch pounds of torque with a drip of blue thread locker for a secure made in the USA installation.
