EGW Guns Scope Base Features The EGW Guns Scope Base is machined from solid 6061-T6 extruded aluminum giving the Thompson Center Contender a strong precisely fit mounting platform for a scope. Its lightweight tactical design includes a milled center channel that reduces unnecessary material while maintaining the rigidity needed to hold zero. Full width cross slots are gauged to MIL-STD 1913 Picatinny specifications within 0.002 inches accepting Picatinny or Weaver scope rings and giving the shooter flexibility in ring selection. The base is drilled to fit the factory scope mount holes on the Contender frame so installation requires no drilling or tapping. At 5.48 inches long the base spans the Contender s frame without extending beyond it keeping the rifle s or pistol s balance unchanged. A matte black finish resists wear and matches the factory finish on most Contender frames. Mounting hardware including socket head Torx screws and the wrench needed to install them ships with the base and EGW recommends 20 inch pounds of torque with a drop of blue Loctite for a secure mount. Made in the USA this EGW scope base gives Thompson Center Contender owners a simple no gunsmithing path to modern optics for sale at GrabAGun.
