EGW Guns Scope Base Features The EGW Guns Scope Base is precision machined from extruded 6061-T6 aluminum a material chosen for its strength to weight ratio and resistance to the stresses of repeated scope mounting and removal. The base is drilled to align directly with the factory scope mount holes on the Savage 93 receiver which means installation requires no drilling or tapping of the gun itself. Full width cross slots are gauged to MIL-STD 1913 specifications within plus or minus .002 inches ensuring a tight repeatable fit with standard Picatinny or Weaver scope rings. This 0 MOA elevation design keeps the scope s point of impact centered for shooters who do not need a built-in cant for long range holdover. A milled center channel running the length of the base reduces its overall mass without sacrificing rigidity keeping added weight on the rifle to a minimum. The matte black anodized finish matches most factory Savage finishes and resists wear from handling and field use. Installation hardware including socket head Torx screws and the matching wrench ships with the base and EGW recommends torquing to 20 inch pounds with a drop of blue Loctite for a secure mount. For Savage 93 owners looking to add scope versatility without a trip to the gunsmith the EGW Scope Base offers a direct no-modification solution.
