EGW Guns Scope Base Features The EGW Guns Scope Base is precision machined from extruded 6061-T6 aluminum giving it the rigidity needed to hold zero under recoil while remaining lightweight on the rifle. Picatinny slot and rail spacing allows for fast and simple changes to eye relief along with greater flexibility when choosing a scope or mount. Full width cross slots are gauged to MIL-STD 1913 specifications within plus or minus .002 inches ensuring compatibility with a wide range of Picatinny and Weaver rings. The base measures 7.064 inches overall with a center spread of 4.485 inches matching the factory mounting hole pattern on Remington 700 722 and 40X short action receivers. Built with a 20 MOA elevation built into the base this scope base gives long range shooters additional adjustment range before running out of scope travel. The matte black finish resists wear and blends with most rifle finishes for a factory look. Installation hardware including hex head screws and a wrench is included and EGW recommends 20 inch pounds of torque along with a drop of blue Loctite for a secure mount.
