EGW Guns Scope Base Features The EGW Guns Scope Base brings a one-piece Picatinny rail to a Remington 700 or 722 short action receiver replacing separate two-piece bases with a single rigid mounting platform that improves scope ring alignment. The 15 MOA of built-in elevation helps long-range shooters get more usable adjustment range out of their scope s internal turrets extending practical maximum range on magnum and flat-shooting cartridges. Full-width cross-slots are gauged to MIL-STD 1913 specifications within plus or minus .002 inches giving shooters fast and simple changes to eye relief and broad flexibility in scope ring selection. The base is drilled to match the factory scope mount holes on the receiver so no drilling or tapping is required during installation. Machined from domestic 6061 T6 extruded aluminum the base is both lightweight and rigid enough to maintain zero under recoil from repeated firing. A milled center channel reduces weight further without compromising the structural rigidity needed to keep a scope securely mounted. The matte black anodized finish resists wear and matches most factory Remington finishes for a clean appearance. Included socket head Torx screws and a wrench make installation straightforward and EGW recommends 20 inch-lbs of torque with a drop of blue Loctite for a secure mount. The EGW Scope Base is for sale at GrabAGun for Remington 700 and 722 short action shooters who want a reliable one-piece Picatinny mounting solution.
