EGW Guns Scope Base Features The EGW scope base ships standard with a bevel machined into both sides making the mount ambidextrous and suited to both left and right handed shooters without a different part number. Picatinny cross slots run the full length of the rail giving the shooter flexibility when positioning scope rings and other accessories for ideal eye relief. A channel machined into the center of the mount reduces overall mass without sacrificing rigidity and in many cases it does not obstruct the use of factory iron sights. EGW recommends measuring the hole spacing on the Winchester XPR receiver to confirm fitment before final installation. Machined in house on EGW s own machining centers the base is tumbled sand blasted and Type II anodized afterward for long lasting durability in the field. A 0 MOA elevation design suits shooters working inside 500 yards while EGW recommends their 20 MOA bases for stretching out to 1000 yards. Installation calls for 20 inch pounds of torque along with a drop of blue Loctite to keep the base secure under recoil. Every component from the mounting screws and wrench to the packaging is made in the USA giving Winchester XPR owners a complete domestically produced mounting solution.
