Cimarron Firearms Frontier Old Model Features The Cimarron Firearms Frontier Old Model is built on the classic Old Model frame design chambered in .357 Mag and capable of also firing .38 Special for added versatility at the range. The case hardened frame gives the revolver its distinctive swirling color pattern a hallmark of traditional single-action revolvers that collectors and cowboy action shooters prize. A blued barrel and cylinder complement the case hardened frame creating the two-tone look associated with classic frontier-era sixguns. The standard hammer and trigger are built to the same specifications shooters expect from a traditional single-action design. Walnut grips give the Frontier Old Model a warm traditional feel in the hand while providing a secure grip for repeated cycling of the action. Fixed sights keep the sighting system simple and authentic matching the look and function of the original revolvers this model is patterned after. At just under 41 ounces with a 5.5 barrel the revolver has the balanced weight and pointing characteristics that have made this frame style popular for over a century. Whether for cowboy action competition collecting or range use the Frontier Old Model delivers period-correct style with modern manufacturing reliability.
