Cimarron Firearms 1860 Richards-Mason Type 2 Features The Cimarron Firearms 1860 Richards-Mason Type 2 is built as a cartridge conversion revolver chambered in .44 SPC Special giving shooters the look of an original 1860-era percussion revolver with the convenience of modern cartridges. An 8 inch barrel provides a long sight radius that aids precision at the line while the fixed sight setup keeps the profile clean and true to the original design. The standard trigger and hammer are built around traditional single-action operation rewarding a deliberate classic shooting style. A 6-round cylinder capacity keeps the revolver true to its period-correct cartridge conversion roots. A case hardened frame delivers the mottled coloring collectors associate with 19th-century firearms craftsmanship while the blued barrel and cylinder provide corrosion resistance and a rich contrast against the frame. The one piece walnut grip adds genuine wood warmth and a comfortable traditional fill in the hand. At roughly 2.65 pounds the revolver carries a balanced manageable weight for extended range sessions or cowboy action stages. For shooters and collectors drawn to authentic cartridge conversion revolvers the Cimarron Firearms 1860 Richards-Mason Type 2 offers a faithful blend of historic styling and dependable cylinder capacity.
