Cimarron Firearms P-Model Old Model Features The Cimarron P-Model Old Model reproduces the legendary 1873 peacemaker-style revolver in .45 Colt the chambering that made the original the sixgun of the American frontier. The Old Model frame places the cylinder base pin retaining screw at the front matching the pre-1896 configuration that collectors and Cowboy Action Shooters specifically seek out. Cimarron s Cowboy Comp action refines the internals to eliminate weaknesses associated with the 19th century design giving the revolver smoother more reliable function on the clock. A standard hammer and trigger keep operation simple while the fixed front sight offers a quick traditional sight picture. Finished with a case hardened frame over a blued barrel and cylinder the P-Model Old Model carries the color case look that has defined the Colt-style single action since its introduction. A one piece walnut grip rounds out the traditional feel in hand and adds to the revolver s authentic period styling. At roughly 2.69 lbs the 7.5 barreled revolver stays well balanced for both fast cowboy action stages and casual range work. Considered among the most authentic reproductions of the 1873 Colt available the Cimarron P-Model Old Model is a dependable sixgun for Old West fans and competitive shooters alike.
