Cimarron Firearms Richards Transition Model Features The Cimarron Richards Transition Model in .38 Spl reproduces a commonly called Transition Model conversion blending the earlier Richards ejector housing with the Richards-Mason conversion ring loading gate and hammer into a single historically accurate revolver. Its 5.5 inch barrel strikes a practical balance between sight radius and handling suited both to range use and cowboy action competition. The 6-round cylinder capacity matches the original cartridge conversion design this revolver is built to honor. Fixed sights keep the silhouette authentic to the period while still offering a usable sight picture for deliberate single action shooting and that simplicity means less to maintain and nothing to snag on a leather holster during a stage. A case hardened frame provides the mottled color contrast collectors associate with classic single action revolvers set against a standard blued finish on the barrel and cylinder that keeps the metalwork visually unified front to back. The one piece walnut grip rounds out the period correct presentation while providing a secure traditional hold during firing and its smooth close fit to the frame reflects the same attention to historical detail found in the conversion mechanism itself. Weighing in at a manageable 42.4 ounces this revolver handles comfortably for extended range sessions or competition stages without the fatigue heavier reproductions can bring. Collectors of historical cartridge conversions and cowboy action shooters alike will appreciate the Cimarron Richards Transition Model s blend of authentic styling and dependable single action function a faithful nod to the transitional era of American revolver design available for sale at GrabAGun.
