Cimarron Firearms U.S. Calvary Buffalo Soldier Features The Cimarron Firearms Co U.S. Calvary Buffalo Soldier is built on a carbon steel frame finished in color case hardening paired with a blued barrel and cylinder for the classic two tone look of the original 1873 pattern revolvers. Chambered in .45 Colt the six shot cylinder and 7.5 barrel with a 1:16 right hand twist deliver the balance and sight radius single action shooters expect from a cavalry style sidearm. A blade front sight and fixed rear sight provide a simple rugged sighting system that holds up to field use while the exposed hammer allows a traditional thumb cock for each shot. The single action trigger breaks at roughly 3 lb giving a crisp predictable release that suits slow deliberate cowboy action and historical shooting. Smooth walnut grips give the Buffalo Soldier a period correct look and a secure comfortable hold through repeated single action cycling. At 13.1 overall and 2.7 lbs the revolver carries the heft of an original service sidearm without becoming unwieldy on the range or at a reenactment. The design draws from the rare first generation Colt pistols inspected by Henry Nettleton for the US Ordnance Department and Cimarron researched the markings and proof stamps closely to honor that history and the Buffalo Soldiers who carried arms like it. Whether displayed used in cowboy action competition or carried for historical demonstrations this revolver brings genuine single action heritage to any collection and is available for sale at GrabAGun.
