Cimarron Firearms No. 3 American Features The Cimarron No. 3 American faithfully recreates the first model top break revolver design a mechanism that allows the shooter to unlatch the barrel and simultaneously eject all six spent .44-40 Winchester cases at once. This top break action was considered advanced for its era speeding up reloading compared to contemporary single-action revolvers that required manual ejection of each case. The 5 barrel and fixed sights keep the shooting experience true to the original design while providing dependable accuracy at typical revolver distances. This historically significant mechanism makes the No. 3 American a standout piece for collectors and shooters who appreciate period-correct engineering. A deep blued finish covers the frame and barrel for a classic uniform look that has defined top break revolvers since the 19th century. Walnut grip panels provide a secure traditional hold that complements the revolver s historic styling while standing up to repeated handling and use. At 46.4 oz the No. 3 American carries enough heft to manage recoil comfortably while still being practical for extended shooting sessions. For cowboy action competitors and Old West firearm enthusiasts who want an authentic top break revolver the Cimarron No. 3 American delivers period-correct function and styling.
