Cimarron Firearms 1851 Richards Mason Features The Cimarron Firearms 1851 Richards Mason pays tribute to the classic conversion revolvers of the Old West chambered in .38 Special for easy access to modern ammunition while retaining period-correct styling. The octagon barrel is a hallmark of the original 1851 design and here it is finished in bright nickel that contrasts sharply with the brass backstrap and trigger guard. Fixed sights keep the profile authentic to the era and the standard single-action trigger delivers a crisp traditional break. At just over 45 ounces the revolver carries a substantial well-balanced feel in the hand. Elaborate engraving covers the frame and barrel adding a level of detail that sets this model apart as a tribute piece rather than a plain working gun. Polymer ivory grip panels complete the aesthetic offering the look of genuine ivory with the durability of modern polymer construction. This particular configuration honors the guns associated with Wild Bill Hickok making it a natural fit for collectors and history-minded shooters alike. Whether displayed or fired the 1851 Richards Mason brings genuine Old West character to any collection.
