"Women's Altra® Mont Blanc Speed: The Mont Blanc Speed is a women's trail running shoe built for competitive runners who want real grip, underfoot protection, and a zero-drop platform on technical terrain. Whether you're pushing hard on a steep climb or picking your line on a fast descent, this shoe is designed to keep up. At 8.2 oz, it moves with you without weighing you down, and the 29 mm stack height gives you enough cushioning to handle longer efforts without sacrificing ground feel. The midsole uses a dual-compound construction - Altra EGO™ MAX around the rim for structure and durability, with a lighter Altra EGO™ PRO core that keeps the ride lively underfoot. A sandwiched TPU StoneGuard sits between the midsole and outsole to shield your foot from rocks and roots without adding noticeable bulk. The outsole combines Vibram® Megagrip for reliable traction on wet and dry surfaces with Vibram® Litebase construction to keep the outsole weight low. The stitch-and-turn collar and tongue construction wraps the foot comfortably without excess material. Altra recommends sizing up a half size for the best fit.Why Our Fit Experts Love This Shoe""I took these out on a mixed trail with some loose gravel and a few wet rock sections, and the Megagrip outsole held really well - I didn't feel like I was second-guessing my footing. The zero-drop feel is true to Altra, and the StoneGuard did its job on the rockier sections without making the shoe feel stiff."" - Sawyer, Road Runner Sports Fit Expert, Wilmette ILWho It's Best ForIf you're a trail runner who trains and races on technical terrain and wants a lightweight, zero-drop shoe with serious traction and rock protection, the Mont Blanc Speed is worth a close look.
