"Women's Altra® Timp 5 BOA: The Altra® Timp 5 BOA is a women's trail running shoe built for runners and hikers who want serious cushioning, reliable grip, and a fit they can dial in without stopping to retie. The zero-drop platform and roomy toe box are classic Altra - your foot sits flat and your toes have space to spread naturally, which makes a real difference on longer efforts out on the trail. The BOA PerformFit Wrap lacing system lets you make micro-adjustments on the go, so you can fine-tune the fit mid-run without taking your gloves off or breaking stride. Underfoot, the Altra EGO MAX midsole foam gives you a cushioned ride with a 29mm stack height, and the Vibram Megagrip outsole handles wet and dry terrain with confidence. GaiterTrap attachments are built in if you want to keep debris out on dusty or technical trails. At 9 oz, it carries well over distance without feeling heavy on your feet. Why Our Fit Experts Love This Shoe""I really appreciate how fast the BOA system is when you need to adjust on the fly - especially on a cold morning when you don't want to mess with laces. The toe box gives your foot room to move naturally, and the Vibram outsole held up well on some slippery sections I hit on a recent run. It's a solid option if you spend a lot of time on trails and want cushioning that doesn't sacrifice that grounded Altra feel."" - Rachel, Road Runner Sports Fit Expert, Carlsbad, CAWho It's Best ForIf you're a trail runner or hiker who loves the Altra zero-drop feel and wants a cushioned, grippy shoe with easy on-the-go adjustability, the Timp 5 BOA is worth a close look.
