"Women's Altra® Lone Peak 9 WP Low: The Lone Peak 9 WP Low is a waterproof hiking shoe built for women who want the trusted feel of the Lone Peak series on wet trails, muddy approaches, and unpredictable backcountry terrain. With a zero-drop platform, a roomy FootShape toe box, and 25 mm of stack height, it keeps your foot in a natural position mile after mile - whether you're day hiking or pushing through a longer thru-hike. If you've worn the Lone Peak before, the fit and feel will be familiar. If you're new to the series, expect a low-profile trail shoe that lets your foot move naturally without sacrificing protection. The upper combines a no-sew overlay with recycled polyester mesh and an overlay cage for added durability and protection on rough terrain. Webbing ghillie integrated lacing and a reinforced heel work together to keep the fit secure without pressure points. Underfoot, the Altra EGO midsole foam provides cushioning with enough ground feel to stay connected to the trail. The updated MaxTrac outsole handles traction across varied surfaces, while Stoneguard technology adds protection from sharp rocks underfoot. GaiterTrap attachments let you add a gaiter when conditions call for it, and the whole package comes in at 11.3 oz for a women's size 8.5 - light enough to move efficiently without feeling stripped down. Why Our Fit Experts Love This Shoe""I recommend these to hikers who want the Lone Peak fit but need waterproofing for wetter conditions.
