"Women's Altra® Mont Blanc Carbon: The Women's Altra Mont Blanc Carbon is a high-cushion trail running shoe built for runners who want speed and confidence on technical terrain. Whether you're toeing the line at a trail ultra or grinding through a long day of climbs and descents, this shoe is designed to move fast without sacrificing the ground feel and stability you need when the trail gets rough. The midsole uses a rim-and-core construction that pairs Altra EGO™ MAX in the rim for cushioning with Altra EGO™ PRO in the core for a more responsive, race-ready feel underfoot. A full-length Carbitex™ Monoflex carbon plate adds propulsion and underfoot protection across all terrain. The outsole combines Vibram® Megagrip for reliable traction on wet and dry surfaces with Vibram® Litebase to keep the overall weight down - the shoe comes in at 8.79 oz. A roomy toe box gives your toes room to splay naturally, the midfoot holds secure, and the 0mm heel-to-toe drop keeps your stride in its natural position. Stack height is 29mm, so you get real cushioning without losing your connection to the trail. Why Our Fit Experts Love This Shoe""I love recommending this one to runners who want a zero-drop trail shoe but don't want to give up cushioning or speed. The carbon plate makes a noticeable difference on longer climbs and technical descents - it feels supportive without being stiff. The toe box is genuinely roomy, which matters a lot when your feet start to swell on a long effort."" - Sabrina, Road Runner Sports Fit Expert, San Diego, CAWho It's Best ForIf you're a trail runner who races ultras, tackles technical mountain terrain, or just wants a fast, well-cushioned shoe for all-day efforts on the trail, the Mont Blanc Carbon is worth a serious look.
