"Men's Altra® Mont Blanc Speed: If you're a competitive trail runner who wants a fast, capable shoe for hard efforts on technical terrain, the Mont Blanc Speed is worth a serious look. This men's neutral trail running shoe is built around a dual-foam midsole setup - Altra EGO MAX in the rim and a lightweight Altra EGO PRO core - that gives you a responsive feel underfoot without adding unnecessary weight. At just under 10 ounces with a 29mm stack height and zero drop, it sits in a sweet spot for runners who want real cushioning and protection without sacrificing ground feel or efficiency on the trail.Underfoot protection comes from a sandwiched TPU StoneGuard, which keeps sharp rocks from interrupting your stride on rough terrain. The outsole uses Vibram Megagrip for reliable traction on both wet and dry surfaces, paired with Vibram Litebase construction to keep the outsole weight low. The stitch-and-turn collar and tongue construction trims down the feel around your foot, so the shoe stays comfortable and light even on longer efforts. If you size up half a size as recommended, the fit should feel secure without being restrictive through technical sections. Why Our Fit Experts Love This Shoe""I really noticed how light this shoe feels the moment you pick it up, and that carries over on the trail. The zero drop and the dual-foam setup make it feel fast without feeling harsh - it's a shoe I'd reach for on a hard training run where I want to move quickly but still have some cushion under me."" - Dave, Road Runner Sports Fit Expert, San Diego, CAWho It's Best ForThe Mont Blanc Speed is a strong fit for men's neutral trail runners who train hard and want a shoe that can handle technical climbs, rocky descents, and varied trail conditions without slowing them down.
