Federal Top Gun Features The Federal Top Gun load uses a 7/8 oz payload of #9 shot a smaller shot size that produces denser patterns well suited to closer target presentations found in skeet and some sporting clays stations. Launched at 1210 fps this load generates enough energy to break targets cleanly while keeping recoil manageable across a long day of shooting. The 2.75 shell length is sized to chamber reliably across the vast majority of 20 Gauge shotguns in regular use. A 2.38 dram equivalent powder charge is tuned specifically for consistent target shooting performance rather than hunting applications. Federal engineered the Top Gun line around shot to shot consistency a critical factor for competitive shooters trying to post repeatable scores across an entire event. This case lot format gives dedicated shooters and clubs the volume needed to get through heavy practice schedules and tournament play without frequent reordering. The lighter recoiling 20 Gauge platform makes this load approachable for shooters of varying experience and build from newer competitors to seasoned veterans. Federal Top Gun 20 Gauge #9 shot is available for sale at GrabAGun for clay target shooters who want dependable performance on the line.
