Federal Premium Upland Features The Federal Premium Upland shell is built around an exclusive Federal waxed paper hull that gives it the classic look and feel upland hunters remember from decades past. Inside that hull sits a payload of extra hard copper plated lead shot in a size 4 pellet chosen for its ability to pattern well and retain energy on birds like pheasant and grouse. A wad column designed specifically for this load helps maintain consistent pellet spread as the shot leaves the barrel. Federal backs the load with a low brass 209 primer and a select propellant chosen for efficient reliable ignition. Each shell measures 2-3/4 inches and pushes its 1-1/4 ounce payload of shot to a muzzle velocity of 1330 feet per second giving hunters plenty of authority on small game. Federal packages this load 25 rounds to a box providing enough shells for a full day of upland hunting without needing to restock mid trip. The waxed paper hull is more than nostalgia since it still performs reliably in the field alongside modern plastic hulled ammunition. Upland hunters who want a load that feels as good as it shoots will find this Federal Premium Upland shell a worthwhile choice for sale at GrabAGun.
