Federal Top Gun Features The Federal Top Gun in 28 GA is loaded to a 2.75 shell length with a 3/4 ounce payload of #8 lead shot a combination built for the fast close targets typical of skeet and sporting clays. At 1330 feet per second the load generates enough pattern energy to break clays cleanly while keeping felt recoil light in a sub-gauge gun. Federal s Top Gun line is engineered as a dedicated target load prioritizing consistent shot-to-shot performance over hunting-specific features. The #8 shot size throws a dense pattern well suited to the smaller birds these gauges are typically paired with. Lead shot construction keeps the Top Gun compatible with any 28 GA shotgun rated for lead loads without the barrel or choke restrictions steel shot can require. Federal s reputation for target ammunition reliability makes the Top Gun a natural choice for shooters stepping up to the 28 gauge for its lighter recoil and gentler handling characteristics. The consistent velocity and payload from shell to shell help shooters build a repeatable read on their swing and lead. This 28 GA #8 shot load is for sale at GrabAGun for clay shooters who want dependable sub-gauge performance.
